How I Work

I work with adults whose current struggles are shaped by childhood and early relational experiences. This can include growing up in environments that felt emotionally unsafe, unpredictable, unavailable, or overwhelming, even when there was no single traumatic event.

Many people come to therapy with insight into why they feel the way they do, yet still feel stuck in familiar patterns. My work focuses on helping you understand how these patterns developed through your relationships, nervous system, and early experiences, and how they may still be influencing your life today.

I work through an attachment-informed and trauma-aware lens, with a strong focus on the nervous system and lived experience. Sessions are collaborative and paced carefully, with an emphasis on safety, choice, and building trust over time.

My approach draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-informed practice, and somatic and experiential work. This may include exploring relational patterns, working with different inner responses, noticing body-based signals of safety and threat, and using reflection or imagery to support deeper understanding and flexibility.

The focus of this work is on stabilisation, integration, and supporting meaningful change in the present. Over time, many people find they feel more grounded, more able to respond rather than react, and more connected to the life they want to live.

This work is often medium to longer-term, allowing space for safety, trust, and sustainable change to develop.
